2 Series LoPro Brake

to operate and provides easy foot placement. Brake is not field
installable and is only available on the 3" model. The

3 Series Tread Lock Brake

All swivel casters in the 3 Series are available with brakes.
Colson's tread Lock brake gives positive braking action on all
types of wheels by engaging a rubber brake shoe directly against
the tread surface of the wheel. A self-compensating spring maintains
the effectiveness of the brake throughout the life of the wheel.
Thread guards can also be used with this brake. Brake pedals
are rugged .090 steel & zinc plated. To orde on a caster
specify "BRK1".

Welded Swivel Locks

Swivel locks quickly convert swivel casters to rigid casters
for straight-line tracking. A spring-loaded, hand operated plunger
is engaged to fit into slots on the swivel raceway to lock the
swivel in 901Ú4 intervals on 4-6 Series and 1801Ú4 intervals
fro 7 Series. To engage the lock, simply pull out plunger and
turn until spring action inserts plunger in notches on raceway.
To disengage the lock, simply pull out plunger and turn so plunger
is not inserted in notches on raceway. These swivel locks are

DirtBan Swivel Seals

Keeps dirt out and lube in for longer caster life
|
Seals are recommended for applications where casters and equipment
are exposed to regular washings such as hospitals, food processign
plants, restaurants, meat packing plants, laundries, bakeries
and more. They keep dirt and contaminates out of the swivel
raceway and lubricants in. Colson polyurethane DirtBan seals
help casters run smoother and last longer with very little drag
on the swivel action. They offer a high resistance to grease,
oils, chemicals, detergents, and water. To order on caster specify
"SEAL". To field install, simply remove the caster
wheel and place seals in the upper and lower raceways. No special
tools needed. Available on 2 and 4 Series casters. to field
install, see chart below.

Plastic & Metal Thread Guards
|
 |
Designed to keep lint, thread and
other soft material out of bearings.
|
Certain industries and institutions find that excessive amounts
of lint, thread and other soft materials have a tendancy to
work into caster wheel bearings. Wheel thread guards help overcome
this problem. The thread guard does not revolve and thus forces
the thread to deposit on caster and greatly improve its appearance.
Colson offers both plastic and metal thread guards. Plastic
thread guards are more flexible abd will not rust or corrode
making them ideal for wash down applications. Metal thread guards
have a zinc plated finish on 1-3 Series wheels, and a galvanized
finish for 4-7 Series models to protect against rust and corrosion.
To order on caster specify "TG1" for metal, "TG2"
